The programme began with a heartfelt worship session led by Sounds of Revival Ministries, a gospel music group made up of Level 200 UniMAC students. The atmosphere became more vibrant when the guest speaker, Bishop Selasy McSaint, arrived at a warm reception from the congregation.
The programme attracted many students and members of the university community, including the Dean of the School of Journalism and Media Studies at Dr. Godwin Etse Sikanku.
According to Bishop “God does not answer prayers.” The remark briefly left many students puzzled. He later clarified that God responds to prayers offered in faith, explaining that many people pray out of fear rather than faith.
Using biblical examples and practical illustrations, Bishop encouraged students to trust God completely and remain steadfast in their faith regardless of life’s challenges. His message held the audience’s attention throughout the sermon, with many students listening intently.
The event concluded with a powerful ministration by Grace Acheampong, whose songs complemented the day’s message and brought the programme to a memorable and spirit-filled close.
